In each subregion, we work with “anchor partners” to support more nascent movement actors in identifying and addressing priority needs. We then link these movements to regional advocacy opportunities – including advancing domestic issues with the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights. These regional successes are then used to catalyze work back at the domestic level.
Our work in Africa focuses on those subregions where human rights work has often been overlooked and under resourced – including Anglophone and Francophone West Africa and Francophone Central Africa.
