The LGBTTTI and Sex Worker Coalition of the Americas presents an Amicus Brief in the case of Crissthian Olivera Fuentes v. Peru.
On August 22nd, 2022, the case of Crissthian Olivera Fuentes v. Peru, co-litigated by Synergía in collaboration with DEMUS and Asociación Líderes en Acción, was heard before the Inter-American Court of Human Rights. The case has to do with an incident of discrimination against a gay couple by a private company (a summary of the case in Spanish can be found here.
In September, following the public hearing, the LGBTTTI and the Sex Workers Coalition of the Americas presented an amicus brief in support of the case. The brief was drafted by the Georgetown University Law School under the supervision of professor Fanny Gomez Lugo, and with the logistical coordination of Colombia Diversa.
