Washington DC, November 13, 2021 SUMMARY The Coalition of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, Transgender, Transsexual, Transvestite, Intersex (LGBTTTI) and Sex Workers organizations from Latin America and the Caribbean that works within the framework of the Organization of American States (OAS), participated in the 51st Regular Session of the General Assembly. The LGBTTTI & Sex Workers Coalition and Synergía presented comments for the report: Gender, Sexual Orientation, and Gender Identity.

The Coalition and Synergía submitted comments to the request for information from Mr. Victor Madrigal-Borloz, Independent Expert on protection against violence and discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity for the report on gender, sexual orientation, and gender identity. The report compiled information on attacks on gender equality with the discourse of “gender ideology”. The report is available in Spanish here
